It is amazing to find that just a few miles away from the resorts there is another Portugal completely unspoiled and undeveloped. The riding has something for all levels with a combination of single track, double track and country lanes. Paul is an expert guide and will tailor the trip to your needs and can source good quality rental bikes. Most welcome was the cold beer in the village cafe at the end of our 3 hour ride. My morning with Activity Algarve has added a new dimension to the Algarve for me and I will include a trip out with Paul to all my future holidays over there.”

“I did three walks with Paul - all very different but equally interesting with their own unique features and not too challenging! Two of the walks were inland, taking in fantastic views over the Algarvean countryside and towards the coast, walking through really pretty country villages, up hillsides and along a river bank. The third was a coastal walk along the Algarve's stunning cliffs and looking down onto beautiful beaches. Paul has a really good knowledge of the Central Algarve and has researched and planned his walks to suit a range of fitness levels and to provide interest and variety along the way.

The hotel in Boliqueme was very clean and did a great buffet breakfast with lovely freshly-baked croissants. Although the pool was very inviting, I didn't have any time to try it out between all the walking, exploring local towns and sampling the local cuisine! The service provided by Activity Algarve in taking you to good, local restaurants is, I think, quite unique and it was also a very attractive part of the holiday for me. Paul recommended some great restaurants which I would never have discovered myself and I took great pleasure in trying out a variety of typically-Algarvean food and enjoying some fine local wine!

All in all, I couldn't have asked for more - Paul's enthusiasm for the outdoors and his knowledge of the Algarve really made this a great 3 days. I will definitely be doing another Activity Algarve holiday - and, who knows, next time I might even be persuaded to ride a bike for the first time in 20 years!”

Good quality accommodation, flexibility in terms of days of the week and duration, excellent cycling opportunities (both on and off-road) and the knowledge and expertise of an excellent guide Paul. The rides were well thought through and the enjoyment of the cycling was well complemented by Paul's interesting and knowledgeable input of the local areas. Paul even managed to throw in 3 days of superb weather at the end of Sept (28C, 30C and 28C) which is not always 100% guaranteed. Great holiday.”
